Click to reveal the guide
— WAKING UP —
Leave the Green Chamber, continue moving forward, and head straight. Once near the witch, you’ll find a rapier in a doll head to the left. Make sure to take it.
There is an entrance blocked by thick vines. Use the rapier to cut through them and experience a cutscene.
— OUTSIDE TOWER —
Near the tower walls, there is an X marking on the ground. Above it is a red blotch that says, "Vines Grow Here," but there are no vines. Time to grow them.
There are steps to growing vines in the shed at the bottom left corner. You’ll also find an empty watering can and vine seeds. Outside the shed, there’s a water pump to fill the watering can.
To the right of the tower, there are steps that lead to a beach. A shovel and bucket can be found near the steps. Interact with it to get a toy shovel.
There’s a crab in the middle of the beach. Talk to him and find his blue shell, hidden under a sand mound at the top middle of the beach. Return it to him, and he’ll tell you the secret to growing vines fast is to tap a clam shell 5 times.
At the bottom of the beach, you will find a clam shell. With your current items, go back to the X marking, use the toy shovel, plant the seeds, water them, and lastly, tap the clam shell to grow a vine. Then, climb the vine.
— GARDEN —
Experience a cutscene, then go down the well at the left middle of the map.
— WELL —
As you descend the rope, you’ll encounter sharp crosses that will kill you if touched. To avoid them, descend slowly, trigger their animation, and wait for them to pass before continuing down.
— BASEMENT —
In the basement, there are three doors, some mushroom girls you can chat with (optional), and some stairs. The stairs are blocked, and all doors are locked except the top-right one. Enter that door to receive the library key. Now, you can enter the left door, and the game will automatically use the key for you.
— LIBRARY —
Experience a cutscene.
At the top, you'll find a locked room that requires a number combination to open. Take note of the two paintings. One depicts a horizontal bar with three prongs and a letter.
To the bottom right, there’s a book on the floor discussing the “Marks of Cadency.” The mark of the firstborn son corresponds to the painting on the wall. "Firstborn" and "a letter" seem like clues. Could it refer to the "first letter" of something?
Look at the books on the shelves, each marked with a different color. There is a hint on the top-right showing what order you need to get the first letters from: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple
These letters should spell out: **RIBBON**.
Now, you need to convert the letters into numbers. A note at the top left of the library provides a clue: A = 0, B = 1, C = 0, D = 1, and so on. The numbers alternate based on the alphabet.
Therefore, the combination for "RIBBON" is: **010010**. Use this number code to unlock the door and enter.
— SECRET ROOM —
Experience a final cutscene and go up the stairs.
And the demo is done.
This is a very early demo, and I currently don’t have a set release date, as I’m balancing development with my job in January. I'll try to do as much as I can before then though.
If you’d like to support me, please consider playing my released game: Everlasting: Tomorrow
If you'd like to see any updates follow me on X or bsky.
Thanks so much.
